No propaganda

[edit]

I just noticed two IP addresses trying to portray South Vietnam as not a country but just an American puppet government. Using different IP addresses is common, it's the same for me. However, it should be noted to be objective and neutral on Wikipedia, this is not a place for propaganda or expressing personal opinions. I'm talking about those IP addresses trying to sabotage this article. I know this is a very sensitive political article for Vietnamese people, it's normal for someone from Vietnam to sabotage it like this. 42.118.49.115 (talk) 11:59, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In fact, the Vietnamese Wikipedia has been severely damaged like this, need to be very careful! 42.118.49.115 (talk) 12:26, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Saying that north Vietnam was a communist pawn and not an anticolonial rebellion is equally propagandizing as the suggestion that south Vietnam wasn’t a country. Currently this article is US propaganda instead of Communist propaganda. A more balanced and nuanced version that shares perspectives from people on both sides of the war is needed. CIA.gov is not a credible source unless you’re looking at declassified documents—the US committed war crimes in Vietnam and it’s in our foreign policy interests to deny this and portray the conflict as a fight for justice rather than a complicated geopolitical power struggle. It’s in desperate need of an update by a competent, unbiased historian.struggle. 216.126.34.108 (talk) 14:40, 15 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You're an IP, this is your first edit, you have no credibility. Mztourist (talk) 17:19, 15 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
